About CLASS

We are delighted to offer Class Culinary School in Ascot Vale situated at 67 St Leonards Road Ascot Vale. The school occupies a charming older style residence, now transformed into Australia's first fully technological cookery school, offering no hot working surfaces and many different cooking appliances.

The concept of the 'cold' kitchen was born only a few years ago, but both domestic and commercial sectors already offer various cost cutting appliances. It is important to save time, energy and water in this new climate and our school encompasses all that is available, both to the commercial and domestic user.

Recipes and kitchen notes will be given at each lesson and once a student has completed all courses these will comprise a good basic beginning to a recipe journal.

Skills taught are easily adaptable at home and can make for improved efficiencies and varied menu offerings from day one. Most of all CLASS Culinary lessons are fun and our chefs aim to ensure all students enjoy their day.

The CLASS concept is to offer to the homemaker, simple training in skills which will enable the student to grasp sometimes difficult concepts in new cuisines emerging in the world.

Typically the classroom day starts at 8.30am, with an informal get together to discuss the day. Lessons start at 9.00am and cover 4 hours of hands on work for Introductory, and Classic Lessons, the 'express" lessons are one hour.
